ESCOLARES DE CIENCIA Y TECNOLOGIA A NIVEL NACIONAL

Se considera a las
Ferias Escolares de Ciencia y Tecnología (CyT) como una actividad de exposición
pública de diversos trabajos realizados por los estudiantes, viniendo a ser
algo así como las olimpiadas del saber humanos en las áreas científicas.
Como
se sabe, ya en noviembre de 1989 se organizó la Primera Feria Escolar Nacional
de Ciencia y Tecnología en el local del Colegio Nacional de Varones “Nuestra
Señora de Guadalupe”, con el apoyo de el Ministerio de Educación y el CONCYTEC
(Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología), en la cual y por dos días se
expusieron los trabajos hechos por los mismos estudiantes.
Esta
primera experiencia fue el resultado de la coordinación del Ministerio de
Educación a través del Lic. Cesar Vila Guerra (*) con el CONCYTEC para hacer de manera conjunta
la convocatoria a nivel nacional. Se considera que esta es una de las pocas experiencias
en la cual hubo el compromiso de los profesores, que coordinaron y dialogaron la
forma como podía ser desarrollado el evento.
Pero,
lo que muy pocos dicen es que dicha experiencia nació en Huancayo dirigido por
la Dirección Departamental en la cual Pasco y Junín ya habían participado antes
de 1989, habiéndose realizado siete ferias departamentales, experiencia que
sirvió de base para la preparación de la primera FENCYT.
En
la actualidad el FENCYT es toda una institución con un proceso de selección que
se da desde los colegios UGELs Regiones y a nivel Nacional, en la cual los
ganadores van a representar a nuestro país en las ferias internacionales de
CyT. Sin embargo quedan muchas tareas por hacer como el hecho que la promoción
de la CyT debe engarzarse con el trabajo que hacen los laboratorios de ciencias
del país en una red de intercambio y apoyo al mejoramiento de la enseñanza de
las ciencias.
